Just a nice gourd of Playadito Yerba Mate and a corny smile

Playadito Yerba Mate Review

There are two types of people in life: those who prefer to jump into something new with full force, and those who want to first dip their toes in the water to test the temperature before committing to it. Okay, honestly, there are more than two types of people in life, but, for the sake of this review, let’s narrow it down to two.

For those in the second group, the ones who want to gradually step into the water versus doing a cannonball, Playadito Yerba Mate is for them. Instead of a strong brand of Yerba Mate, like Amanda or Cruz de Malta, which both pack their own respective punches, Playadito is a good Yerba Mate for those who don’t want something too harsh, sudden and dramatic.

Here are a few other reasons Playadito is a good mate:

It’s like Green Tea

Playadito is smooth, and isn’t too harsh on the taste buds or the back of your throat when you’re sipping on it. It just gently glides in there without making too much of a fuss. Many people say it tastes a bit like Green Tea, in that it has grassy flavors without any hint of smokiness or extreme bitterness.

Playadito lasts for a long time

Over the past few days, I’ve consumed anywhere from 1 to 1.5 liters of Playadito Yerba Mate without needing to refill it. Now, it’s important to note that I’m using a medium-sized gourd, and build a sturdy mountain of dry Yerba Mate to one side of the gourd, so that I can use it later when the mate does eventually lose its flavor. But, instead of having to do that after five to six cycles of pouring water in, drinking, and refilling, it takes 15-20, which is fantastic.

Relaxation is the name of the game with Playadito Yerba Mate

Some mates will give even the most experienced Yerba Mate drinkers heart palpitations after drinking a few gourds of them. Playadito isn’t one of those mates, nor is it anywhere close. You can casually sip on it all day long, while reaping the benefits of sustained energy, focus, creativity and good health without feeling cracked out. As long as you don’t drink it right before you head to bed, you’ll be able to sleep soundly and softly.

Overall, it’s a great mate for new drinkers and old alike. If you’ve ever had Playadito, or enjoy any of the other grassier, and smoother, brands, drop a comment below and tell us about it. We always love hearing from folks.
